Received news last night from a Russian source that Turkey had ‘seized’ four Russian naval vessels.
Then confirmed on twitter via ‘Today Zamman’ a Turkish (English) newspaper. (1)
Now this is big news – but this morning I went to read the headlines of an impending embarrassing episode for NATO and its coalition partner Turkey and guess what – all news stories pulled.
Nothing – zilch – nil.
Now it takes a lot for me to get flustered – but to receive direct verbal Russian confirmation (from a good friend for several years), a Twitter report then emailed through – then erased (?) – and mainstream media plus RT.news, Sputnik and Free Syria Press carrying no confirmation means one thing – diplomacy in action by both US and Russia.
This situation must be resolved diplomatically – Russia embarrassed once with the downing of the SU24 – with confirmation that the US assisted. (2)
This is a very serious matter – recommend that one keeps an eye on these news sites (3) and (4).
Seems that Turkey are attempting to disrupt the ‘so called coalition’ in Syria.
It was reported that Turkey troops had stationed their troops in the Kurd province of Iraq. I had been reading and wondering as to why – as Iraq has indicated to both the US Government and the Turkish Regime that their troops ‘will not be accepted’.
Any incursion therefore by troops from either nation would be ‘an act of war’.
Seems Turkey was just testing the waters:-
“Breaking: FARS network in Iran has just announced that Turkey is withdrawing from Iraq after threats from not only the Baghdad government, but we are told Iran as well. If this proves to be the case, and Baghdad has not yet confirmed the story,
Eyes wide open – someone blinked – that was Turkey….why?
Regret this – but firmly believe that Turkey is not acting alone in their decision making. Remember that US Airforce is stationed in Turkey – and these US assets have destroyed the infrastructure in Aleppo – the water supply – and electrical generation.
This has been a US proxy war in Syria – for 5 years. ISIL / Daesh have not been the prime target. Assad and his assets have been.
